Music: Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)
As a writer/artist/anything, it's important to draw inspiration from everyday objects. I can take it from just about anything; but it's mostly music and nature. I used to listen to Linkin Park, and I still do a little, but it just isn't deep music.
My friend let my borrow Dark side of the Moon last winter, and I ignored it for a day or so. After awhile I stuck it in my computer and started to browse the internet. As I remember, I stared at the same screen for a few minutes at a time, trying to understand what the lyrics meant. This is around the time when I was starting to think about entering a writing competition, and I was brainstorming possible ideas. When Eclipse faded away, I switched back to Linkin Park's Papercut and got the idea for Silhouette. I guess it was this the very start of this summer when I was listening to Floyd's Time, and for some reason really hit home for me. When the song ended I really felt like the lyrics were making sense.
So, whatever your doing, writing, drawing, playing music, whatever, you need to find some way of drawing inspiration, this is when you'll really flourish.
Thanks for the fav.
I've read your journal... the one besides this <- and if you're interested in pink floyd, you should watch and listen to 'The Wall'. It's a complete masterpiece, and it motivated me a lot.
The Wall is amazing, though I do feel that they went a little too dark, something I wasn't expecting after getting so used to the Floyd feel of things. The ending was the only part that I didn't see coming (I believe it ends in suicide.) but yes, it was a great album.
I think it ends with Pink getting exposed to the world, but anyways, if you're interested, you can check this website, it's about the Wall and includes analysis song by song, etc.

I just read your journal. I like it, and it did kinda inspire me, motivated me. To keep being more 'awake' and appreciate small things in the every that can be inspirations.
I have tried from time to time, to have gotten a good idea from that, anything from small random things to funny conversations that was very giving. And used it for very different things. Like Writing, painting or other things, and it's nice to see that I aint just me, that has that 'hobby'.
